CES 2024

Future Flight Global had the incredible opportunity to attend the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024, held earlier this year. CES, produced by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)®, is the world's premier tech event, serving as the global stage for innovation and a proving ground for breakthrough technologies and global innovators. CES 2024 is a testament to how innovation and technology continue to revolutionize the way we live, work, and connect. The show underscored the importance of innovation and technology as catalysts for progress and highlighted the incredible potential that lies at the intersection of possibility and reality.

FFG witnessed Hyundai Motor Group’s AAM company, Supernal, unveil their latest electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) vehicle product concept, the S-A2. This groundbreaking concept is a significant milestone in Supernal’s roadmap to commercialize safe, efficient, and affordable everyday passenger air travel. Supernal’s S-A2 builds on the vision of the S-A1, first introduced at CES 2020, by combining innovative aerospace engineering with Hyundai Motor Group’s automotive aesthetic design. This pilot-plus-four-passenger vehicle is designed to revolutionize urban transportation, allowing people to travel faster and more efficiently within city environments.

At CES, FFG witnessed the future “transportation hub” showcased Supernal’s holistic vision for AAM. Our team sat inside the S-A2, an eVTOL vehicle product concept, providing a tangible glimpse into the future of urban air mobility. We took a simulated flight above the city of Los Angeles, offering a realistic preview of future AAM journeys. The exhibition provided insights into potential flight networks and the supporting technology, including vertiports and other transportation modes that will enable quicker and easier metropolitan travel.

Take a look at a few innovations we saw across a variety of sectors at CES.
