Witnessing Electric flight in Las Vegas

This year's NBAA show held some new surprises. Hosted in Las Vegas, Nevada at Henderson Airport, we witnessed the team at Volocopter proceed with a demonstration flight in front of many spectators.

Volocopter conducted a significant demonstration of its 2X air taxi at the National Business Aviation Association Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE). This event marked a pivotal moment in showcasing advanced air mobility technologies, highlighting the future potential of urban air transport solutions.

The flights were aimed to showcase the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of AAM. This demonstration was part of ongoing flight tests required for certification and market readiness. I was happy to be in the audience. There was a loud buzzing sound but nothing even remotely comparable to the noise level of a helicopter. We had to look close to see if it took off. 

The audience for this event attracted a wide array of stakeholders from the business aviation community, including industry leaders, policymakers, and potential customers.
